What started out with optimism and high hopes is fast turning into a nightmare for me, as $300 is a lot of money to throw away these days. Imagine that – a pay dating site that is acting as a deterrent for me. At the end of the day, I am quite disappointed in eHarmony and I would like my money back. That won’t happen, so this is going to be the first post of many, on as many platforms as I can find. If I can prevent one other person from being robbed, then it will have been worth the effort.
eharmony author review by Mark Brooks
eHarmony is the largest dating site geared specifically towards long-term relationships and marriage minded singles. They claim to be responsible for over 500 new marriages every day in the US.
In-depth entry questionnaire: eHarmony asks all of its members a little more than 300 multiple choice questions before allowing them to enter into their ranks. This in-depth questionnaire is geared at giving the site enough information to help provide you with qualified potential matches.
No Searching: In sharp contrast to other dating sites, eHarmony does not allow members to search directly for matches. Instead, it uses the answers from the questionnaire to provide you with a selection of daily matches that should be compatible with your needs and desires in a partner.
Guided Communication: Instead of sending off an email or wink like you would do on most sites, eHarmony takes members through 4 steps of guided communication before allowing you to continue with open communication with a new match. The guided communication is designed to help assure compatibility and that you don’t waste energy on bad matches.
After wasting 30 min filing their application, it only give you the option to pay either 6,12, 24 month. I would pay monthly and see if I like it or not but that’s not the option. I deleted right away. Not worth it at all.

This dating site is a joke and too expensive, http://www.hookupdate.net/escort-index/el-cajon I thought I saw they had a 2 month membership so I signed up for it. like a dummy. Once I got the confirmation email it said it was 24 months and would cost over Dollars. I freaked out, called them immediately and explained the mistake I made and requested a refund. They flat out told me no and kept referring to the “terms and conditions” instead of trying to help resolve it. I mean it could not have been more 5 minutes after signed up. They refused to help so I called my bank and disputed the charges, they told me I had to close my bank account and open a new one to stop them from continuing to charge me. what a hassle!! Do not join this site, customer service is horrible and you get no grace period, finding love is not worth the hassle with eHarmony.
To all the other single hopefuls out there – I sincerely wish you all love and happiness
The lack of understanding when speaking to the service representatives appears to be intentionally vacant and unconcerned. The representatives have told me that I need to broaden my preferences and it was eluded to that I need to be more open-minded – I also have this in writing. What is the point of having standards and preferences, if you are going to be asked to remove them?
